Dr. I Dewa Gede Karma Wisana (Dewa Wisana) is currently an Affiliated Researcher at Center for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI) and a lecturer in the undergraduate and postgraduate program at Faculty of Economics and Business University of Indonesia (FEB UI). His research interests are household economics, the economics of migration, population economics, labor economics, education and health economics, and impact evaluation/RCT. His subjects are Microeconometrics, Economics of Population and Labor, and Development Economics. Dewa was a Senior Research Fellow in J-PAL Southeast Asia from 2014 to 2016; a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of Fiscal Policy in the Ministry of Finance Republic of Indonesia from 2016 to 2017; and National Consultant for UNFPA Indonesia Representative from 2017 to 2018.

Dewa earned his BA in economics from FEB UI; MSc in development and resource economics from Norwegian University of Life Sciences; and his Ph.D. in economics from The Australian National University (ANU), with a focus on household economics.
