Building Capacity for Tobacco Research in Romania

The monograph reviews key research findings from the project "Building Capacity for Tobacco Research in Romania: A Partnership among Romanian, American and Hungarian Scientists, "funded by the National Institutes of Science Health, USA, 2012-2017. The project included multiple subprojects addressing issues related to tobacco prevention and cessation, reduction of secondhand smoke exposure, inclusion of vulnerable populations, intervention-oriented research, and research that is strategically designed so that the results will inform programmatic and policy change, as well as research on the economics of tobacco and tobacco control.
