Estimating the Economic Costs of Tobacco Use
This technical note presents the various categories of economic costs of tobacco use, explains the approaches to their estimation, and summarizes the existing empirical evidence. The discussion is based on the US NCI and WHO 2016 Monograph, "The Economics of Tobacco and Tobacco Control", and several other published sources.
